I am now in my seventh year since my initial diagnosis, however I believe I was suffering this condition for a long time before being diagnosed. Up until quite recently I was able to work, but I have found it increasingly difficult to do so due to fatigue and immobility.
On the more positive note however I am fortunate to attend the rehab department in the Royal Glamorgan Hospital every six months. Having attended this for the last seven years I have found it an enormous help both physically and mentally and it makes me have a more positive outlook with managing AS.
